It was a pleasure to join a high-level meeting that strengthens the bridge between Egypt and the UK in higher education and research.
The meeting brought together H.E. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with Dr. Assem El Baghdady, President of MEAPP and Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, and Prof. Stuart Jones, Director of the Centre for Pharmaceutical Medicine Research (CPMR) at King’s College London

Held in the presence of Prof. Ebada Sarhan, President of Future University in Egypt (FUE), and Dr. Hanan Refaat, Dean of International Affairs at FUE, the discussion explored new opportunities for academic and research collaboration between Egypt and the United Kingdom.
Dr. Ashour highlighted Egypt’s continued expansion and internationalization of higher education, from establishing new universities to developing international branch campuses and joint degree programmes, all aimed at preparing graduates for a rapidly evolving global market.
Prof. Stuart Jones and Dr. Assem El Baghdady reaffirmed King’s College London’s commitment to collaborating with Egyptian universities, promoting transnational education, and advancing research that supports national development and youth empowerment.
