Dear Colleagues,
As we approach the end of the year, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to MEAPP team, our esteemed partners, and all our collaborators for their invaluable contributions throughout this year. This year has been marked by several significant achievements for MEAPP, including:
- The successful conclusion of our second annual conference in Amman: Held under the patronage of HRH Prince Al Hassan bin Talal, this conference, "Pharmaceutical Medicine Domiciliation in the Middle East," in collaboration with Amman Arab University (AAU), showcased the critical role of Pharmaceutical Medicine in the region. This collaboration further strengthens our partnership with AAU, building upon the MoU signed with the College of Pharmacy.
- The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK: This landmark agreement signifies a crucial step towards advancing the science and practice of Pharmaceutical Medicine in the region and fostering knowledge transfer with a renowned institution.
- The appointment of new trustees from the UK, Egypt, and Jordan: This expansion of our Board of Trustees brings diverse perspectives and expertise, enriching our governance and strategic direction.
- Securing a prestigious grant from the British Council's Going Global Partnerships program: This collaboration with King's College London, Future University in Egypt, and MEAPP will provide invaluable training opportunities for aspiring professionals in the field of clinical research and medicine development in Egypt
- Growing recognition and engagement: We have been invited by esteemed entities in the UAE to explore potential collaborations, further solidifying MEAPP's position as a leading organization in the field of Pharmaceutical Medicine.
I am incredibly proud of the accomplishments we have achieved this year. As we look ahead to the new year, I am confident that we will continue to build upon these successes and further strengthen MEAPP's position as a leading force in advancing Pharmaceutical Medicine in the region.
I wish you all a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
Sincerely,
Dr. Assem el Baghdady, MD, FFPM, FRCP
