Dr. Dina Walied Hassan Sharo is a pharmaceutical and public health professional specializing in clinical research ethics, regulatory review, and research governance. Her interest in scientific research began early during her undergraduate years, where she was actively engaged in academic and research activities. Her graduation project on diabetes mellitus was selected for presentation at DUPHAT conference in Dubai, reflecting her early commitment to research and scientific inquiry. She further strengthened her expertise through advanced training in research at Harvard University’s Clinical Scholars Research Training Program and the Clinical Drug Development module at King’s College London (Capacity Building Program for Enhancing Clinical Research and Medicine Development in Egypt).
Dr. Dina holds a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from MSA University, alongside an internationally accredited degree from the University of Greenwich, London (First Class Honours). She currently serves as a Senior Technical Officer at the Supreme Council for Reviewing Clinical Medical Research Ethics and is pursuing a master’s degree in public health. She previously worked as Technical Secretariat of the Research Ethics Committee at Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, contributing to protocol review and national research strategy development. She is an active member of the African Science Frontiers Initiative (ASFI), GCP-trained, and committed to advancing transparent, patient-centered, and ethically responsible clinical research.

The group seeks to anticipate emerging ethical challenges, drive knowledge-sharing and education, and influence policy and practice in the region to advance ethical, responsible, and patient-centered clinical research.
